April 14 – 16

Easter – Welcome back to the campground!!! Help us celebrate Easter with a Jelly bean guessing contest…the winner gets the jelly beans! Color and decorate Easter Eggs at arts n crafts (you bring the eggs and we’ll supply the dye and other decorations). Flashlight Easter Egg hunt Saturday night (weather permitting). Free coffee and donuts, Sunday morning.

April 21 – 23

Family Board Game Night and Pajama Party – if you love games, Pioneer Campground is the place to be…get comfy and join us in the Activity Building for game night. We’ll have a variety of games (or bring your favorite) and gather a group of players for a fun filled evening of Yahtzee, Monopoly, or Pictionary to name a few…

April 28 – 30

Campground Clean-up – Help with various chores for about four (4) hours Saturday morning and stay for free Saturday night, plus free lunch for all volunteers! It’s been a long winter, come out and meet old friends and make new ones while giving those muscles and joints a much needed workout!

May 5-7

Mexican Fiesta Weekend – Ole…it’s time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo… Pioneer Campground style!!! Grab your sombrero and serape and join us for our celebration of the customs and culture of our great neighbors to the South! Are you a taco lover? …join us for Tacos where you get a chance to make your our own tacos! ($$$). We supply the ingredients; you create a taco your way. Don’t forget to bring you best Guacamole and/or Salsa for our tasting contest. Of course our Mexican celebration would not be complete without a piñata. We’ll have a traditional piñata for the younger set to try their hand at being the first to crack open to spill the goodies.

May 12-14

Mother’s Day – Moms get a gift at check in. Brunch on Saturday, Mom’s eat free. Surprise her with a unique photo portrait and present it in a frame you have painted and decorated at art’s n crafts. Bingo Saturday night.

May 19-21

Chainsaw Carving Demonstration – Come out and watch Heath Bender an internationally acclaimed, award winning local chainsaw carvers in action turning a log into a fabulous creation; movie night Saturday night.

May 26-29

Memorial Day – Pool opens Saturday (weather permitting); scavenger hunt; softball, basketball and volleyball equipment will be available for you to organize your own games! Pioneer Speedway Challenge Matchbox Car Races; heat races Saturday, final races Sunday. Saturday night bingo and DJ Don Sunday night.

June 2-4

Ice Cream Social – I scream you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!! We supply the ice cream and toppings; you make a sundae your way. Best of all…it’s free. Flashlight candy hunt.

June 9-11

Wine Tasting – Join us for an evening wine tasting featuring the wines of Mountain Lake Winery one of our local wineries from Bradford county. Bring wine complements such as cheese, crackers, sausage etc. to share. Must be 21 or older to participate.

June 16-18

Father’s Day – Bring Dad to the campground to celebrate his day! It’s all about family bonding…Pioneer campground style. Enter our Contractors Build-off and show how creative you can be with some common household items. Purchase a building kit when you check in ($$$) and build a thingamabob, a widget, a doohickey…anything you want, but you can only use items from the building kit. Past creations have been amazing!!! You have from the time you arrive until Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm to complete your entry and bring it to the Activity Center to showcase your families talents. June 23-25

Great American Campout – Celebrate the great outdoors. Hike in the woods, cook hotdogs over an open fire, sit around a campfire and tell ghost stories. . Make ice cream in a bag; enjoy a communal bonfire Saturday night.

June 30- July 4

Independence Day – Bring your flags, bunting and other decorations for our most patriotic site decorating contest; scavenger hunt; wet wagon ride (bring your water guns and get ready to get wet); water balloon games, be the first to try out our plastic tub races, swimming pool bingo; softball, basketball and volleyball equipment will be available for you to organize your own games; Saturday night bingo and DJ Don Sunday night.

July 7-9

Wings, Wings, Wings – You use them to fly, you eat them, you may even toss them. Paper airplane contest, build your best paper airplane and see how far it flies; Chicken wings and sauces Saturday night ($$$) Come join the fun! Grab your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy outdoor movie night!

July 14-16

Cast Iron Cooking Weekend – Come on down and see what the Dutch Oven Guys are cookin’…they will be here all day Saturday, cooking up a storm, with demonstrations at various times of the day. Then bring your own cast iron creation to our Pot Luck dinner.

July 21-23

Christmas in July – Load up your holiday decorations for our site decorating contest; bring a batch of homemade cookies for our cookie exchange; bring a gift for Santa to give to your child/spouse/significant other/partner; join us for a New Year’s Eve Dance Party to ring in the New Year!

July 28 – 30

Chocolate Lovers Celebration – It’s everything chocolate this weekend….tootsie roll guessing game with the winner walking away with a great chocolate prize; candy bar Bingo; flashlight candy bar hunt. Bring a desert for our Death by Chocolate party.
Local Events: Laporte Fireman’s Carnival, Laporte (7/26– 7/29) dates unconfirmed

August 4-6

Nostalgia Weekend – Dig out those bell bottoms, and granny glasses leisure suits and go go boots or your poodle skirt and join us to celebrate the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Do you play a guitar and enjoy singing…bring it along. Tie dye a tee shirt at arts n crafts. Dress up for our Nostalgia party and bone up on trivia from the era.

August 11 – 13

Ice Cream Social – It’s our last ice cream social of the season. What could be better than a bowl of scrumptious ice cream with your favorite toppings on a hot afternoon! We supply the ice cream and toppings; you make your own sundae.

August 18 – 20

Pig Roast – What can we say…the chef’s from Pioneer Campground are at it again and preparing for a fabulous celebration with live music from the Less Boys (Bluegrass, Country and Hee Haw comedy) and another great meal ($$$) Make plans early to reserve your site, this is one of our most popular weekends of the summer!

August 25 – 27

Customer Appreciation Weekend – To thank everyone for a great year and your support for our first season, if you’ve camped with us at least two nights this season, stay with us this weekend and get a certificate for a free night between April 13 and June 17, 2018 (some restrictions apply).

Sep 1–4

Labor Day Celebration – Try your luck at various carnival games; scavenger hunt; Saturday night bingo; DJ Don Sunday night. Softball and volleyball equipment available all weekend if you want to organize a game.

Sep 8 – 10

Motorcycle and “Beat the Odds” – Vegas Style Weekend – We are revving up for the annual Williamsport area 9/11 ride so if you are planning on participating why not camp with us and take part in our Vegas weekend, Pioneer Campground style, it’s bound to be lots of fun!

Sep 15 – 17

No Planned Activities –

Sep 22 – 24

Chili Cook-off – Back by popular demand…campers prepare their best chili; all are welcome to sample and pick favorites in two categories…cooked indoors or outdoors over a fire. Either way, chili must be made at the campground. One of our most popular events!
