Welcome Back – The campground opens on Tuesday April 1st.  Dust off those campers, check the tire pressure, check the lights and come on down.

Trout Fishing – Trout season opens on April 14th.   Grab those fishing poles, bait, and waders and see if you still have the fishing juju.  There are several trout streams close to the campground to …

April 18 – 20

 

Clean up Weekend – What a deal!  Give us 4 hours of clean-up help on Saturday and stay for free Saturday night.   Clean a few campsites; patrol & clean the hiking trail or assist with our highway clean-up and we’ll not only give you Saturday night for free but we will also provide lunch. 

 May 23 – 26

Memorial Day Weekend – Join us for a celebration of Memorial Day.  Pool opens (weather permitting); Daytime activities include fire truck and hayrides & our first scavenger hunt of the year.  Softball & volleyball equipment are available for those who want to organize a game.   Join us for our ever popular Match Box Car Races.  Heats will run on Saturday, finals on Sunday.  Evening activities:  DJ Mary spins tunes Saturday night from 7:00 til 10:00 PM poolside (weather permitting).  Come on out and join our hula hoop contest.  Sunday night bingo (with a minimum of 15 participants)

June 6 – 8

Ice Cream Social – Create an ice cream sundae masterpiece or just enjoy a bowl of refreshing ice cream.
Local activities: 19th Annual Billtown Blues Festival at the LycomingCounty Fairgrounds, Hughesville.  Music lovers this is an opportunity to attend a nationally recognized, premier blues event.  More information at www.billtownblues.org

June 13 – 15

Chicken BBQ (reservations required) – Celebrate Father’s Day weekend and treat dad to Chef Ray’s tasty BBQ chicken.  Bring your own beverage and a covered dish or dessert to share.  $$$ 
Join us in the Pavilion Saturday night for an entertaining game of Bingo (minimum of 15 people to play) sign up in the office when you arrive.

June 20 – 22

 

Flea Market Weekend (Buy Junk & Sell Antiques) – Open to campers as well as the general public.  Bring your valuables to sell at your campsite and cruise the ball field for treasures of unspeakable value to take home.

June 27 – 29

Wine Tasting Party – Back by popular demand, Anna Falat, owner of Eagle Rock Winery will host a wine tasting event at the campground.  Bring cheese and crackers to share.  Must be 21 or older to participate -  
For the younger crowd…join us for our 2nd scavenger hunt of the year.

July 3 – 6

4th of July Weekend – Take part in our celebration of the 4th of July with fire truck rides, hay wagon rides, softball games, watermelon eating contest, sack races, water balloon toss, tug o’ war, bingo and more.  Get your grills ready for our BBQ Chicken or Ribs Challenge (judging will take place on Sunday).
Evening Activities:  DJ Mark provides music Saturday night from 7:00 til 10:00 PM, poolside (weather permitting); Sunday night bingo (minimum of 15 people to play), sign up in the office when you arrive.

July 11 – 13

It’s All About Pets Celebration – bring your 4-legged family members and join our pet parade, enter your favorite pooch or feline in our best dressed pet contest.  For the athletically inclined, team up with your favorite pooch and try your hand, er paw at Frisbee catching and more…
Children, we’re breaking out the craft supplies to make crazy hats for your favorite 4 legged critter.

July 18 – 20

Christmas in July – Break out the lights and ornaments and enter your camp site in the 2nd Annual Pioneer Campground decorating contest.  Take part in our cookie exchange; welcome Santa for a Saturday night visit to the campground.  (parents…if you want your kids to receive a gift from Santa when he visits the campground bring one with you for Ol’ St Nick to hand out)
Local activities:  24th Annual Frontier Days & APRA Championship  Rodeo & Bull-a-rama, Benton, PA (7/15 – 7/20). Check out www.bentonrodeo.com for more information.

July 25 – 27

Ice Cream Social – Join us Saturday afternoon for our 2nd ice cream social of the summer.  We supply the ice cream and toppings, you create your own masterpiece
Evening activity:  Bingo (minimum of 15 participants needed), sign up in the office when you arrive.

August 1 – 3

RV Show Weekend – Thinking about a new rig…here’s an opportunity to enjoy a camping weekend and at the same time check out an array of new trailers and motor homes, presented by Bloomsburg RV Center.  Refreshments will be available for purchase during the show.

August 8 – 10

Local activities:  38th annual Eagles Mere Arts & Crafts Festival on the Village Green in Eagles Mere, PA.  More information on the event can be found at www.eaglesmerevillage.com.
Dushore Founders Day (8/9) Dushore, PA.  Come enjoy local arts ‘n crafts, food vendors, Outhouse races and much more. 

August 15 – 17

Pig Roast (reservations required) – Back by popular demand ….Chef Ray is at it again, and roast pork is on the menu.  Bring your own beverage and covered dish or a dessert to share.  $$$

Labor Day Weekend – Celebrate the unofficial end of Summer here at Pioneer Campground with a hayride and fire truck ride.  Softball & volley ball equipment are available for those wishing to organize a game.  Try your luck at bingo and participate in the 2nd Annual Pioneer Campground Matchbox Car challenge on our fast track.  DJ Chris will be supplying tunes Saturday night from 7:00 til 10:00 PM poolside (weather permitting).

Corvair Weekend – Bring your Corvair (or any other old car) to show off or just enjoy what others drive and tell us your Corvair story.  Hopefully there will representation from approximately 20 Corvair clubs in the Mid-Atlantic and northeast states.

Chili Cook-off – Autumn is approaching and football season is in full swing, why not spend a weekend at Pioneer Campground honing your tailgating skills by joining our 2nd annual chili cook-off.  Choose your category…chili cooked indoors or outdoors over an open fire.  Either kind must be prepared in the campground.

October 24 – 26

Halloween Weekend – Come on out for our final weekend of activities for the season. Enter your campsite in our Halloween decorating contest.  Children, be creative and come help us paint and decorate pumpkins. 
Everyone’s invited to join us Saturday afternoon for a Halloween party, complete with bobbing for apples, pin the nose on the jack o’lantern and other games followed by trick or treating through the campground.
Evening activities:  Moonlight hayride, (weather permitting)
